The construction zone, as seen from the Stratosphere Tower (looking
south). The northernmost station will be next to the Sahara Hotel
pedestrian bridge across Paradise Road. The Sahara station will
feature a new walkway to the hotel and the old bridge will be
demolished. The next station south will be located at the Hilton,
the large hotel at the top center. Station number three will be
just beyond at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The monorail will
then continue south down the center of Paradise Road and turn
towards the Strip at the Chamber of Commerce.
Columns for the spur line to the Operations Maintenance and Storage
Facility (OMSF) are seen from high above. Trailers to the left
house the consultant and contractor onsite offices.
Spur line columns along Sahara Avenue.
Monorail construction has arrived at the Las Vegas Hilton.
Lots of rebar in each column. Note the form pieces on the back.
Workers on the monorail wear unique safety vests!
