Iran's first monorail construction continues to progress in the City of Qom.
On December 16, 2012 (Persian date Azar 26, 1391), the first Alweg-type beams arrived on site.
Workers attach beams to cranes.
These gentlemen await the arrival of one of the first beams on top of this pylon.
Up, up, up!
A group of dignitaries and guests witness the first beams going up, including the Mayor of Qom and city council members.
Monorail track goes into place quickly, so much of the first phases alignment will be tracked within a few months.
