Nagoya, Japan

Nagoya Railroad Company Ltd., Aichi Prefecture and HSST Corporation established the Chubu HSST Development Corporation in August if 1989. A 1.5-kilometer test track runs from Oe Station in Nagoya to Nagoya Port. HSST also built a commercial line for Nagoya known as Linimo. The Linimo line opened for the 2005 World Exposition. The 9.2-kilometer maglev line runs from Fujigaoka Station on the Higashiyama subway line through Nagakute Town and end at Yagusa Station on the Aichi Loop Line in Toyota City. However, the guideway is a massive elevated concrete highway-like structure, which means the system doesn't fall under the TMS monorail definition.
