Aerorail - Footprint

The typical guideway section is 5' 6 1/2" wide by 7' 6" tall. It is usually a dual beam configuration. The beam is elevated approximately 29 feet above the ground. The composition is ductile carbon steel, designed for a minimum of vertical or horizontal deflection. Teflon or elastomeric pads are used to keep the rails isolated from the frame and allow for expansion and contraction.
